Department Summary The anthropology department is a leading center for applied cultural anthropology, using anthropological methods to address real‑world problems. Our diverse campus welcomes candidates with experience with HSI/MSI communities and multilingual skills. Position Overview The Department of Anthropology seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool for Spring 2026. The courses taught will vary: undergraduate courses in sociology-cultural anthropology, general anthropology, and advanced topics; graduate courses in methods, theory, and practice. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of 18 hours of master’s level coursework is required to teach undergraduate courses, and a Ph.D. in Anthropology or a related field is required for teaching graduate courses. Preferred Qualifications Master’s level coursework in an applied anthropology field. Experience teaching college‑level courses. Familiarity with Canvas or a similar learning management system. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with staff and students. Work Schedule Varies based on assignment.
