Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently using various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively.

Duties:
  • Operate and drive various types of trucks including tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight while adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Navigate routes efficiently while complying with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Handle manual transmission vehicles as required for specific loads or routes.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the truck by performing routine checks and reporting any mechanical issues.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
  • Familiarity with operating tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to truck driving and freight handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with refrigerated trailers or tanker operations is a plus.
