Commercial Litigation Attorney

Commercial Litigation Attorney - Salt Lake City, UT (Partner Level)

A leading Salt Lake City law firm specializing in intellectual property and complex business matters is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling sophisticated commercial disputes, including IP-adjacent business litigation, contract disputes, trade secret matters, and technology-focused conflicts. Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Utah Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission
• 5+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Experience in IP-related litigation, trade secret disputes, or technology-focused cases preferred
• Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Experience with depositions, motion practice, hearings, and managing discovery
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and technology-related conflicts
• Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and manage fact and expert discovery, including depositions
• Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on risk, options, and case management
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex intellectual-property-adjacent litigation
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality work
