Hugee Corporation is seeking a motivated, experienced Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician- Cold Side to join our growing team! This Technician provides preventive maintenance inspections, installations and responds to emergency service calls on refrigeration (Walk-coolers, Walk-in freezers, Ice Merchandisers, etc.) and HVAC equipment (RTUs, Split systems etc.) The position will be mobile to service our commercial accounts. A take home company vehicle is provided! The successful candidate has a strong background in commercial refrigeration & HVAC maintenance, repair and installation.

Qualifications :

• 3+ Years Experience
• Commercial Refrigeration is a MUST - Walk in Coolers, Walk in Freezers, Open Air Cases
• Install & Repair Compressors, motors, controls etc.
• Walk in coolers, freezers, display cases, ice machines, beverage dispensers, split systems & package units, etc.
• EPA Universal CFC Certification
• Proficient in troubleshooting systems, performing startups and response to system restarts, refrigerant leak check procedures, and lifting and rigging

Responsibilities :

• Repairing and performing preventive maintenance on all commercial refrigeration systems & HVAC equipment
• Perform unsupervised repairs on commercial refrigeration & HVAC systems for emergency and non-emergency situations
• Perform preventive maintenance on various types of commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers, open air case, freezers, display cases, freestanding ice machines, and refrigeration racks, and all other associated tasks.
• Install, repair, and replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, valves and controls
• Respond to service calls promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s operations
• Proficiency in handling refrigerants and adhering to environmental regulations
• Work effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers; determine best practices for repair work and assess downtime with store personnel
• Create and maintain records on all equipment worked on, as well as store refrigerant inventories; maintain truck inventory
• Complete timely record keeping related to EPA requirements; follow up and repair discovered leaks while also performing all mandated rechecks
• Maintain Hugee Corporation’s high standard of service
• Ability to be on-call and after-hours emergency service as needed
