Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing cost reports and conducting costing audits to ensure accurate financial data and support decision-making processes. This role involves working closely with manufacturing and finance teams to manage cost accounting activities, inventory transactions, and monthly reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with Oracle systems in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost reports to support financial planning and operations.
• Conduct costing audits to verify accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations for inventory received but not billed.
• Manage all cost accounting activities using the Oracle system.
• Perform month-end closing activities and cost of goods variance analysis.
• Track, monitor, and reconcile inventory transactions.
• Support management with cost-related reports, variance explanations, and recommendations for process improvements.
• Assist with the development and implementation of cost control procedures and policies.
• Ensure compliance with standard accounting principles and company policies.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• 2–4 years of experience in cost accounting or related financial roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
