Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for numbers and process improvement? A fast-growing manufacturer in Mentor, Ohio is looking for a Cost Accountant to come in on a contract basis and take ownership of its cost accounting function and drive clarity across operations and finance.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your expertise will help shape the company’s financial backbone and support smarter decision-making.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and roll out cost accounting procedures that align with the company’s evolving needs.

• Analyze inventory costs across multiple product lines to ensure accuracy and transparency.

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all cost-related initiatives and inquiries.

• Identify and resolve process gaps in cost tracking and reporting.

• Partner with shop floor and office teams to gather data and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Strong analytical skills and clear communication style.

• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $47.00 per hour
