Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for numbers and process improvement? A fast-growing manufacturer in Mentor, Ohio is looking for a Cost Accountant to come in on a contract basis and take ownership of its cost accounting function and drive clarity across operations and finance.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your expertise will help shape the company’s financial backbone and support smarter decision-making.

What You’ll Do
Develop and roll out cost accounting procedures that align with the company’s evolving needs.
Analyze inventory costs across multiple product lines to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all cost-related initiatives and inquiries.
Identify and resolve process gaps in cost tracking and reporting.
Partner with shop floor and office teams to gather data and drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong analytical skills and clear communication style.
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
