Summary We are seeking a qualified and caring sterilization technicianto join our team! As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. Responsibilities: - Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment
- Organize and maintain sterilization and storage areas
- Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines and safety standards
- Assist in operatory turnover between patients
- Stock and manage inventory of sterilization supplies
- Report equipment malfunctions or needed repairs promptly
- Support the clinical team as needed with back office tasks
- Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
- Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
- Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
- Assist dentist during procedures and exams
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Schedule appointments
Qualifications - Previous experience as a dental assistant
- Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care
About Us As a licensed Endodontist in Webster/Clear Lake, TX we work together with our referring doctors and patients. Our practice is devoted to providing our patients with quality, state of the art Endodontic care using the latest techniques available (digital radiology, surgical microscopes, ultrasonic) in a friendly and comfortable office environment.
We take time with our patients to explain their treatment options and inform them of additional preventative care.
About Dr. Qamar Dr. Sam Qamar grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from The High School for Health Professions.
Dr. Qamar received his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1998.
After graduation, he completed an internship/research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Endodontic Department.
To gain more expertise, Dr. Qamar successfully finished a one year General Practice Residency Program at the Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Subsequently, Dr. Qamar received his specialty training in Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. During the two year residency program, he was honored with an "Excellence in Teaching Award" from the Department of Endodontics at the U.S.C. for his contribution to dental education.
Dr. Qamar exclusively utilizes an operating microscope during treatment with all of his patients. This allows him to treat complex cases that may otherwise be nonrestorable Dr. Qamar is an active member of organized dentistry, including the American Association of Endodontist, the American Dental Association, the Houston Academy of Endodontist, the Greater Houston Dental Society and the Ninth District Dental Society. Throughout his education, and currently, Dr. Qamar stays involved in various volunteer activities.
