As an Event Technician / Multi-Skilled Operator, you'll be more than just a technician – you'll be an integral part of a passionate team dedicated to bringing awe-inspiring digital experiences to life. Based onsite with our client, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering seamless end-to-end event production, from the initial technical coordination to the flawless execution of presentations, AV/VC services, streaming, and comprehensive event management. This is an opportunity to make your mark, shape our processes, and grow alongside a talented group of Technical Specialists and Senior Technicians.

Onsite 5 days per week, based within our client’s Mountain View offices.

Payrate: $100-110k/annually

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Elevate Event Experiences: Collaborate with a skilled team to plan, staff, and deliver exceptional live events within our client's state-of-the-art event spaces. Your expertise will ensure every event is technically flawless and leaves a lasting impact.
  • Master Cutting-Edge Technology: Take the reins of advanced installed AV systems, including Ross Carbonite switchers, ETC Ion lighting desks, Sony cameras, and SSL audio consoles. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your existing expertise and expand your skillset with other innovative technologies.
  • Be a Problem-Solving Powerhouse: Leverage your strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities to ensure the smooth operation of AV equipment, escalating and resolving issues efficiently to maintain our high service standards.
  • Contribute to Our Foundation: Play a key role in establishing and refining our standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contingency plans, ensuring consistent and reliable event support.
  • Drive Innovation: Participate in special projects and R&D initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance the quality of our output, streamline processes through automation and tooling, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Empower Through Knowledge: Contribute to the creation of detailed SOP documentation, event reports, and the effective utilization of our internal systems. You may also have the chance to mentor and share your expertise with fellow team members as we grow.
  • Own the Technical Journey: Take ownership of the technical support lifecycle for each event, proactively managing technical risks from pre-production planning through to post-event analysis.
  • Champion Exceptional Service: Deliver consistently high-quality service to our partners, communicating technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Uphold Broadcast Standards: Ensure adherence to broadcast standards for both remote and in-person attendees, guaranteeing a professional and engaging experience for everyone.
  • Grow with Us: Embrace ad hoc duties as needed, contributing to the overall success and evolution of our dynamic team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating a range of installed AV equipment, including Ross Carbonite, Barco switching, Sony RCP 1500, and ETC Ion lighting desks.
  • A strong foundation in (or a genuine enthusiasm to learn) other specialized audio-visual equipment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively within a diverse and cross-functional team.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a genuine openness to continuous learning and growth.
  • A solid understanding and practical experience with various event formats, including Q&A sessions, training events, and town hall meetings.
  • The ability to commit to being onsite 5 days per week, based within our client’s Mountain View offices.

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional technical experience in the dynamic world of live event production.
  • Experience working within a broadcast environment, ideally with exposure to gallery/master control room operations.
