Description Executive Director, Marketing & New Product Planning Overview: Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a portfolio of product candidates focused on the oncology and metabolic disease treatments. The organization is seeking to make their first commercial hire to lead the commercialization efforts for their lead oncology asset from clinical development through launch, as well drive the strategy for subsequent assets. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role and a rare opportunity to shape the future of a growth-stage biotech company. As a core member of the business and strategy leadership team you will influence critical decisions shaping the commercial trajectory and long-term success of the organization. Responsibilities: Define and lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for our clients lead asset, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and clinical development plans. Lead design and execution of in-depth market research to uncover unmet needs, customer insights, and evolving market dynamics, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the entire pipeline. Collaborate with R&D and clinical teams to optimize trial designs based on commercial viability and target product profile insights. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to bring a Commercial perspective to potential new indications, targets, or M&A deals. Lead development of robust revenue forecasts, including patient segmentation, market sizing, penetration analysis, and pricing and access strategies. Spearhead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive launch plan, including positioning, messaging, and commercial infrastructure build-out. Represent the company at key medical congresses and engage with KOLs, payers, and industry leaders to shape market strategies and inform commercial plans. Serve as the commercial voice on program strategy teams, providing insights to guide corporate strategy, business development, and portfolio growth initiatives. Key Qualifications: ~ Bachelor Degree in a scientific, engineering, financial, business or other relevant field. MBA, MS or PhD preferred. ~12+ years of progressive experience in biopharma commercial planning, marketing, and product launch leadership, with a strong focus on oncology. ~ Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex commercialization strategies. ~ Deep expertise in oncology market dynamics, including competitive intelligence, payer landscape, and commercialization challenges. ~ Strong experience in revenue forecasting, financial modeling, and P&L management to inform data-driven commercial decisions. ~ Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter with a bias for action and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving biotech environment.
