Job Summary:

The Experienced Fiber Splicing Technician will splice, repair, and resolve fiber optics systems in a variety of settings.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Resolve, repair and splice fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic problem areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 3-5 years of experience splicing fiber.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Possess valid documentation that is required to be employed.
• A good driving record is required.
• Ability to tow a trailer with a bucket truck.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Willingly and able to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights and weekends.
• Thorough understanding of terminology used in fiber splicing.
• Comfortable with heights and confined spaces.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb or sit for undetermined periods of time to complete jobs.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
