Period of Intended Employment 12/1/2025 - 3/31/2026 44hrs/wk Mon - Sat Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Prepare calving areas; Sort cattle upon sale; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock and feed from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas with loader; Break ice in water facilities and maintain heated watering systems; Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair livestock equipment, facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Must speak English. - Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. - Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. - Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. - Operating tools and equipment as applicable and noted in the job description as well as operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is dangerous. The employer shall provide transportation between housing and worksite and for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services) in the form of pickup, car, van, self propelled farm machine (ex. tractor, combine, sprayer, harvester, truck), or other common means controlled/operated by the employer between the place where the employer has provided housing to the actual work site and return at the end of the workday.
