Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Freight Broker Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in freight brokerage, exceptional sales skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and carriers. You’ll play a key role in growing our customer base and ensuring seamless transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and other key stakeholders.
Negotiate rates with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while delivering value to all parties.
Manage the end-to-end freight process, including quoting, booking, tracking, and troubleshooting shipments.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.
Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs on a consistent basis.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Freight Broker or Freight Broker Sales Representative.
Strong understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain processes.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in freight brokerage software (e.g., TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
A results-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed targets.
