Job Summary:

Responsibilities of the Gardner position include but are not limited to the daily maintenance of all perennial and annual herbaceous plant material on the Golf Course property. This comprises hanging baskets, flower pots, planter boxes and landscape beds. Daily duties will include deadheading, weeding, pruning, watering, fertilization and transplanting/dividing of plant materials whenever necessary. Employee will also be asked to help with on-course tasks when needed. Position reports directly to Golf course Superintendent and/or the Director of Golf Maintenance in his absence.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $22.48/hr
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2025

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proper water management of all flower pots, flower planters, flower boxes and landscape beds.
  • Daily deadheading of all annual/perennial plant material.
  • Daily weeding of landscape beds as necessary.
  • Weekly fertilization of all flower pots, flower planters and flower boxes.
  • Installation of annual/perennial plant material when necessary.
  • May assist with golf course tasks when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to drive a golf cart.

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Current High School student applicants are eligible to apply.
  • Previous landscape/greenhouse or other horticulture experience helpful.
  • None Necessary

  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment

 

 

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $22.48/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
