Gastroenterology Locums Physician, North Carolina - Advanced Procedures Required

Hospital-employed GI team near Asheville Regional Airport is seeking locums coverage for 1-2 weeks per month with high procedural volume and autonomy

.

Highlights

• Only 1-2 weeks per month; you choose the blocks
• Full procedural autonomy; no APP oversight
• Temp privileges available; quick credentialing

Practice Setting

• Two hospital sites supported; rounding on assigned/unassigned patients
• RN and MA support; no APPs
• McKesson and Athena EMRs

Schedule

• Scheduled clinical hours plus 24-hour beeper call
• 30-minute response window
• 3 admissions and 3+ consults per shift on average
• Ongoing block scheduling available through year-end

Cases and Procedures

• Bread-and-butter GI plus advanced procedures
• Required: ERCP, EUS, PEG, liver biopsy
• Includes endoscopy, variceal injection, polyp excision
• High procedure volume in a well-equipped setting

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active North Carolina medical license
• BLS required

Travel Accommodations
