WFMZ-TV 69 News is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and motivated General Assignment Reporter to join our award-winning newsroom. Located in the vibrant Lehigh Valley, WFMZ provides news coverage across Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey. Our team is committed to delivering accurate, compelling, and timely stories that matter to our diverse audience.

Responsibilities:

• Research, pitch, and develop impactful stories that resonate with our community.
• Produce engaging, accurate, and balanced reports for television, digital platforms, and social media.
• Shoot and edit video content as needed.
• Conduct interviews, gather information, and write scripts for daily news coverage.
• Collaborate with producers, photographers, and the digital team to deliver high-quality, multi-platform content.
• Maintain a strong social media presence to promote stories and engage with the audience.
• Respond to breaking news situations and adjust to dynamic newsroom priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in broadcast or multimedia journalism preferred.
• Strong on-camera presence with excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of digital content management systems and social media best practices.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
