We are seeking a mid-level Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer with 5+ years of experience to join Mithun. As a member of our integrated design team, you will be committed to continuous learning in support of resilient, community-centered and culturally equitable design with a focus on site planning and landscape design. Our work spans multiple scales and partners – across public, private, non-profits, community-based organizations, philanthropy and research. You’ll work with a collaborative team that values shared curiosity, careful listening, appreciation and learning from each other’s experiences. We currently collaborate in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays staff have the option to work from home when project meetings and deadlines do not necessitate in person collaboration. Role & Responsibilities With oversight from a principal, serve as a project manager. Contribute to projects as a member of an integrated design team that includes Landscape Architects, Architects, Interior Designers and Urban Planners. Responsible for a wide range of site design and framework plan aspects from marketing pursuits, project management, community engagement, design studies and documentation. Responsible for design documentation, from concept design through construction administration. Produce diagrammatic studies, design sketches, renderings, models, and graphics for design exploration and presentation materials. Provide mentorship and professional guidance to emerging designers of all design disciplines. Participate in thought leadership, writing, research & development projects. Engage in collaborative discipline focused team meetings and project shares. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Preparation of construction drawings / documents and sets with a focus on technical details. Reviewing and redlining drawing sets. Assist in writing technical specifications. Requirements A bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture (BLA, BSLA, MLA). 5+ years of professional experience. Project management experience with a focus on consultant coordination and collaboration. Concept-driven and proficient in visual communication by hand or digitally. Polished verbal communication, public speaking and presentation skills. Proven success in meeting deadlines and major design milestones. A commitment to sustainability. Broad knowledge base in landscape architectural construction. Attention to detail and organization. Technical understanding of landscape architecture site development elements. Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in working on all project phases from concept through construction. Experience with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Office and Bluebeam. Nice-to-haves (but not required) Experience with Revit is strongly preferred. Experience with Rhino, Lumion, Grasshopper, ArcGis. Please submit your resume and relevant work samples.
