Pay Range Information:Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidates qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. Job Description Summary:Reporting to the Circulation Librarian, the Circulation Assistant helps manage and carry out Circulation functions in the Hugh and Hazel Darling Law Library including patron services, interlibrary loan (ILL), reserves, and stacks maintenance, primarily on evenings. The position requires a strong commitment to service and problem-solving skills.
The Circulation Assistant helps to ensure consistently high service to the Law Library users by participating in hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating student employees; working with other Law School and University departments on issues relating to library access, security, and facilities; helping maintain the Circulation module of the Integrated Library System (ILS); and assisting with developing and administering Circulation policies.
