The Lead Pharmacist for Specialty and Home Delivery Operations plays a key leadership role within the UVA Health Pharmacy Enterprise, providing direct support and oversight of pharmacist daily operations across home delivery and specialty workflows. This position serves as a liaison between clinical teams, medication access, dispensing operations, and call center support, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery. The role supports frontline pharmacists & technician teams, ensures quality assurance, facilitates pharmacist onboarding and training, and promotes adherence to compliance, accreditation, and payer contractual obligations. The Lead Pharmacist collaborates with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and innovation while supporting the upcoming launch of Pharmacy Central Services Center. Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and workflow coordination for specialty and home delivery pharmacists. Staffing and supporting dispensing operations within specialty and home delivery workflows. Oversee adherence to regulatory, accreditation (URAC/ACHC), and payer performance standards. Support implementation of refill retention and medication synchronization strategies. Facilitate onboarding, training, and mentorship for new pharmacists in support of operational readiness for PCSC. Partner with call center, medication access, and dispensing teams to streamline first fill and refill processes. Lead quality assurance efforts, including medication safety initiatives and process improvement projects. Act as a liaison between frontline staff and pharmacy leadership to ensure timely communication, issue escalation, and resolution. Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: No experience required. Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. BLS required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs.
