About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Legal Affairs with a focus on litigation and legal operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all phases of litigation, including the management of third-party legal counsel in complex, public cases. This role requires a keen attention to the consistency of legal positions, coordination of counsel, and collaboration with various internal departments. The Managing Director will also be involved in the financial management of legal affairs, strategic oversight of eDiscovery and document management initiatives, and the development of standard methodologies for legal operations. Additionally, the role involves providing legal advice, monitoring industry trends, and managing a team of direct reports. Applicants must have a J.D. and an active bar license, with a minimum of 8 years' legal practice and 8 years' of management experience. The ideal candidate will have a background as a trial lawyer and be familiar with court operations and the conduct of outside counsel.
