Huntington Learning Center South Tampa is now hiring qualified and caring teachers and math professionals to work directly with students on subject areas, including SAT/ACT math concepts, algebra 1 & 2, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus. This position is not remote. Must have experience teaching SAT/ACT math concepts, Algebra 1 & 2, and Geometry Certification/license preferred Must be a dedicated and qualified professional committed to the success of students! Candidates will take an assessment and need to show mastery of skills ranging from Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, etc. before starting the position. Must be available at least one weekend day. Responsibilities: Provide individualized tutoring sessions to high school students Work with students to review their goals, keep them accountable, and increase test scores Create a positive learning environment Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Utilize physical and online curriculum Flexible Schedule: You are able to create your schedule based on tutoring hours: Mondays through Thursdays 9:00-7:30 pm Fridays 9:00-4:00 pm Sundays 11:00-4:00 pm Must be available Fridays and/or Sundays *At this time, we are unable to accept applications from candidates currently employed by another tutoring organization.
