Job Title: Packaging Graphic Designer

Location: El Segundo, CA 90245

Pay Rate: $39.00/hr.

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: Hybrid

Job Type: Temp, 6 months +

Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in packaging or graphic design with a strong portfolio
• Proven experience as a Packaging Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative packaging designs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino or solid works, InDesign, Dimension) and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, and production processes
• Create 2D + 3D renderings for product packaging
• Mechanicals
• Experience using TAG and/or ESKO a strong plus

Preferred Skills

• Background in formulation packaging, beauty, CPG, or luxury goods a plus
• Adobe After Effects or motion graphic skills are beneficial
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and trends

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and manufacturing, to understand packaging requirements and project goals
• Conduct design research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative packaging designs.
• Anticipates potential roadblocks and develops proactive solutions
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of packaging designs.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all packaging designs meet quality standards and are error-free.
• Be aware of accurate project timelines and deliver designs within specified deadlines.
• Adapt to changing project requirements and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay current on industry trends. Follow brand guidelines. Illustrate a brand pattern for use across all mediums.
• Laying out artwork
• Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
• Pack up files to send to suppliers
• Understand deco treatments, pantones, foil, etc
