Job Description

Overview:

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Trial Paralegal to provide support throughout the litigation process, with a strong focus on trial preparation and presentation. This role requires proficiency in leveraging TrialDirector software to organize and present evidence efficiently in the courtroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with attorneys to manage trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, trial notebooks, and jury instructions.
  • Utilize TrialDirector to organize, manage, and present digital evidence during hearings and trial proceedings.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate logistics for trial, including equipment and technology needs.
  • Assist with witness preparation and coordinate expert and lay witness appearances as needed.
  • Manage and troubleshoot technology issues related to trial presentations, ensuring all materials are accessible and presentation-ready through TrialDirector.
  • Support attorneys with on-the-fly document searches and evidence presentation in the courtroom.
  • Summarize depositions, transcripts, and other key evidence, integrating these materials into TrialDirector databases when necessary.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support the trial team.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation or trial support experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Demonstrated expertise with TrialDirector or similar trial presentation software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of trial processes and litigation management.
  • Proficient in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic trial timelines.
