JOB SUMMARY:

Meets customer expectations of service and professionalism while assisting in a variety of basic customer checking, savings, and credit account transactions, as well as customer services such as sales of cashier's checks, CBTx gift cards, and money orders.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Recognizes and addresses customers by name when possible. Listens carefully to customer requests, comments or complaints and responds appropriately in accordance with CBTx procedures.
  2. Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters transactions into computer records in an accurate, prompt and efficient manner.
  3. Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
  4. Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments, inspects negotiable instruments and cash offered for payment and ensures that payments match balances due, enters payments received into CBTx computer records and generates customer receipts.
  5. Sells cashier checks, CBTx gift cards, and money orders.
  6. Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
  7. Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to electronic journal. Reports any discrepancies to his or her supervisor as necessary.
  8. Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds and prepares CBTx Notice of Delayed Availability in accordance with CBTx procedures.
  9. Explains CBTx services such as savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and overdraft privilege features.
  10. Performs bank by mail and night deposit functions where available.
  11. Dresses appropriately for work environment, adhering to CBTx's dress policy.
  12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Quality of work: Work output is good, accurate, neat, planned, and organized. Uses reasonable diligence and skill in performing duties and work assigned. Minimal follow up is required. Consistently meets commitments in a timely manner. Makes sound decisions and within scope of authority, assumes responsibility for actions. Complies with all lawful and clearly stated instructions and with CBTx policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.

Productivity: Industrious and efficient. Maintains a high level of work output. Can be depended upon to complete assignments on schedule. Regularly meets or exceeds goals and objectives related to signed tasks or responsibilities as established by CBTx plans, policies, or procedures.

Customer satisfaction: Continually display a courteous and helpful level of enthusiasm, and service knowledge with customers. Identifies and solves problems within a reasonable time frame with minimal assistance.

Contribution to organizational Goals: Regularly participates and supports actions in and programs to position CBTx as the "preferred financial services provider" including high customer satisfaction, service innovation, a positive work environment, equal employment opportunity, and CRA objectives. Displays personal behavior that contributes to a favorable Bank image.

Respects the property rights of others and protects the confidentiality of all intellectual property or trade secrets of CBTx and the financial data and personal information of CBTx customers and suppliers.

Makes no request or demand upon any other employee or customer of CBTx for anything or act that would be unlawful, unethical, unprofessional, immoral, or in violation of any policy or procedure of CBTx.

Is loyal in all fiducial relationships concerning CBTx and acts appropriately to account for and protect all property and money received, entrusted by, or paid out on behalf of CBTx.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently.

Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more (approximately the weight of a $500 box of quarters).

Visual acuity sufficient to recognize valid and counterfeit currency and other financial instruments.

Over the age of 18 and not disqualified from fidelity bond coverage.

Good personal credit history required.

Flexible in working situations individual in position often works at other branch sites as needed and on Saturday.

STANDARD KNOWLEDGE AND

SKILLS: Good interpersonal communication skills and thorough knowledge of

all CBTx teller functions.

Bilingual ability a plus.

Strong sales-oriented personality with excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills in relating to customers and co-workers in an outgoing and professional manner.
