Job Description

Are you a licensed Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) looking to lead meaningful projects that help shape growing Texas communities? We’re hiring an experienced RPLS to join a reputable, Texas-based land surveying firm with a strong presence in the Austin area. Known for precision, teamwork, and local expertise, our firm is committed to delivering high-quality work across a variety of land development and public sector projects.

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking, and right-of-way surveys
  • Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables for various land development and public improvement projects
  • Supervise field crews and mentor junior surveying staff
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, planners, and project managers to ensure project timelines and accuracy
  • Ensure all work complies with Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) standards and applicable regulations

✅ Qualifications:

  • Active Texas RPLS license (or the ability to obtain via reciprocity)
  • Minimum 2 years of post-licensure experience in land surveying
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, or similar survey software and field equipment
  • Strong understanding of surveying best practices in land development, municipal, and site-specific projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing survey projects and coordinating with both clients and internal teams
