Addison Group is hiring a Research Assistant on behalf of our client, a respected organization advancing health research and policy initiatives. This position supports ongoing research and evaluation efforts through data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Job Description:

The Research Assistant will provide hands-on support for multiple research projects, contributing to data analysis, literature reviews, and report development. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational background in research methods, statistical tools, and an interest in public health or policy-driven work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data collection through surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Conduct data cleaning and quality checks to ensure integrity.
  • Use STATA to run statistical analyses and manage datasets.
  • Support literature reviews and summarize academic and policy research.
  • Develop research reports, data visualizations, and executive summaries.
  • Help manage project timelines and coordinate research activities.
  • Provide general analytical and administrative support to research teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in a research, evaluation, or data analysis role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in STATA and nVivo (required).
    • Ability to calculate descriptive statistics, cross-tabs, and confidence intervals.
    • Familiarity with Qualtrics or similar web-based survey tools.
    • Comfortable using Excel, Word, and other office software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable working independently.
