Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing materials and products. This role is crucial to our supply chain, ensuring that inventory is properly tracked, stored, and prepared for distribution to meet customer and operational demands. Responsibilities

• Shipping:
  
  
  • Prepare and package outgoing orders accurately, including proper labeling, documentation, and staging.
  • Coordinate with carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, freight) for timely pickups.
  • Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other necessary paperwork using [Specific Software/System, e.g., ERP, WMS].
• Receiving:
  
  
  • Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders/invoices for accuracy and damage.
  • Inspect materials for quality and count discrepancies; report any issues immediately to the Inventory or Purchasing Manager.
  • Accurately input received goods into the inventory management system.
• Inventory & Warehouse Operations:
  
  
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring materials are stored safely and logically in designated locations.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (if required).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
