We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Survey CAD Technician to become a crucial part of our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that provides an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from preliminary design to final design and construction. The ideal candidate will utilize their CAD skills to create, update and modify surveys, maps, and drawings. You will be required to work closely with our team of engineers and surveyors to provide technical support and ensure the accuracy and quality of our projects. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software to prepare clear and detailed survey maps and drawings.
• Interpret field notes, sketches, maps, and other material to determine the best approach for project completion.
• Collaborate with engineers and surveyors to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in all CAD drawings.
• Maintain and manage a comprehensive library of technical drawings.
• Provide technical support and assistance to the team as required.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest CAD technology and industry trends to enhance productivity and service delivery.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on matters related to CAD designs.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, mapping, and construction practices.
• Exceptional technical drawing skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret field notes, sketches, maps, and other source material.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Surveying, or Computer Science is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Professional certification in CAD or a related field is an added advantage.
