Job Description

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for envisioning, designing, and deploying the next generation of Amazon's infrastructure management control plane. This platform powers the infrastructure behind Amazon's global websites, marketplaces, and consumer experiences.

In this role, you will lead the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure management capabilities. Collaborating cross-functionally, you will drive continuous improvements to infrastructure availability, security, and cost optimization.

As a technical product leader, you will leverage expertise in cloud computing, infrastructure management, and distributed systems to translate requirements into user-friendly solutions. You will work alongside a diverse, global team to ensure seamless execution and maximum customer value.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the next-generation infrastructure management control plane that powers Amazon's global websites, marketplaces, and consumer experiences

• Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure management capabilities to support Amazon's critical services

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions

• Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring the engineering team aligns the design to maximize customer value

• Act as a vocal advocate for optimal resource allocation to drive maximum progress within business constraints

• Provide insights and direction to peers and leadership managing dependent products and adjacent programs to enable quick and effective progress

• Demonstrate strong writing skills to document product progress, highlight blockers, and craft compelling launch announcements

• Connect directly with customers to understand their pain points and steer the product roadmap to meet their needs

Our globally distributed ICON team is a diverse and talented group of professionals driving the future of Amazon's infrastructure management. Based in Seattle, Costa Rica, Sunnyvale, New York, Dublin, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, our team includes Software Developers, System Development Engineers, Technical Writers, Technical Program and Product Managers who collaborate seamlessly to deliver innovative solutions. As the Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and strategy for the next-generation infrastructure management control plane that powers Amazon's global websites, marketplaces, and consumer experiences. Your cross-functional leadership and customer-centric approach will be instrumental in ensuring the team's continued success in this fast-paced, dynamic environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
