Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Examiner to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in title examination, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Search the public records and examine title to determine legal condition of the property
- Working knowledge of legal documents affecting title to real property and methods by which they are recorded and/or become liens
- Determine the tax status of the real property
- Examine copies of records, such as Deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership, encumbrances and to verify legal description of the property
- Examine condominium and homeowners' associations documentation
- Determine the impact of any recorded instrument in the chain of title such as deeds, liens, judgments, etc.
- Determine the proper parties to be named in a foreclosure action
- Outline any title curative issues required and/or identify any senior interest
- Summarize the legal condition of the property and advise the client
- Data entry of the results of the examination in to the company's computer
- Meet daily required quota
Position Requirements - A minimum of three years' experience required in examination.
- Must have knowledge and experience in the use of ATIDS.
- Typing is a requirement.
- Microsoft Office and Internet Skills required.
- Preferred experience as a Foreclosure Examiner.
