Remote Part-Time Title Underwriter – Real Estate Experience Welcome!

Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Title Underwriter to support our title insurance operations. This role is ideal for candidates with prior title underwriting experience or related experience in real estate, such as real estate agents, brokers, or paralegals with exposure to property transactions. You will help evaluate property titles, resolve title issues, and prepare title insurance commitments and policies, ensuring smooth real estate transactions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review title documents, public records, and real estate transaction files to identify potential issues (liens, unpaid taxes, ownership disputes).
• Prepare and review title commitments and policies.
• Collaborate with attorneys, agents, and clients to resolve title issues.
• Authorize and issue title insurance policies upon resolution of title concerns.
• Provide guidance and support to clients and team members regarding title questions and insurance coverage.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in real estate, property transactions, or title-related work.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in title underwriting or title insurance.
• North Carolina Title Agent license or eligibility to obtain one.

Work Environment

• Fully remote, part-time role.
