Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent unit-specific experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Hospital setting with night shifts, working 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient care includes both medical and surgical telemetry cases
• Use of Med/Surg Tele monitoring equipment
• Duties include providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
• Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate with two attempts to pass required assessments
• Permanent or per diem candidates must wait one year from their previous end date before returning
• Assignments at any location limited to 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month break required after, unless an extension is approved
• Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with up to 4 hours billable per year
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements
• Team-based collaboration with other healthcare professionals

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active OH or Compact RN license in hand
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required and must be active with nothing pending
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required prior to travel
• One reference from a supervisor (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Fingerprinting and badging must be completed on-site prior to start
• Negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• No open background check cases or license infractions
