Start Date: 8/18
Length of contract: 13 weeks
GSA: up to 36 hours per week. Hours not guaranteed week of orientation or during the holidays where the unit is closed.
**Facility can cancel one shift biweekly without penalty**
Shift requirement: 12 hour nights (6:45pm-7:15am) *NO BLOCK SCHEDULING*
Float Requirements : Must float to MSO and Ortho units, potential to float to ICU to care for non-critical patients
On Call/Call Back Requirements: None
Weekend Rotation Requirements: Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday)
Holidays: every other
Required Licenses and Certifications: Active NC or Compact state license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum Experience (yrs in specialty): 2+ years; no new travelers, must have completed at least 1 travel contract, skills Telemetry, TR Bands, Blood Products, and the Heparin/Cardiac drips.
Charting Experience: EPIC required
Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5-6 (PCU with some acute tele mixed in)
Unit description: 37 bed unit. Step-down, cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical stepdown nurse
