Job Description - UX Researcher:

We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to help kickstart and lead our UX research initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape the user research function from the ground up at a growing, tech-forward company with deep roots in the casino gaming and entertainment technology space.

The ideal candidate brings a passion for user advocacy, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research across digital products. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, and analytics teams to create seamless, data-driven experiences that delight our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and scale a UX research practice aligned with business and product strategy.
  • Design and execute end-to-end research using a mix of methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, diary studies, etc.).
  • Advocate for user needs by delivering actionable insights to product, design, and leadership teams.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of research findings, personas, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior researchers or designers on user-centered research practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize research initiatives and embed research in the product lifecycle.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and influence decision-making through compelling research storytelling.

Requirements:

  • 5–6 years of experience in UX research with a strong portfolio of impactful projects.
  • Proven success in establishing or scaling a UX research program.
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to clearly present findings and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience working in casino gaming , entertainment tech , or similarly fast-paced digital environments is highly preferred.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment with 3–4 days onsite in Jersey City, NJ .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with tools such as UserTesting, Maze, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles and agile methodologies.
  • Previous startup or high-growth company experience.
