Walgreens Pharmacy Manager Apply for the Walgreens Pharmacy Manager role at Walgreens . This position manages the operation of a Walgreens Pharmacy, provides pharmacy consulting services, ensures the safety and efficacy of medication dispensation, optimizes pharmacy workflow, leads a team, and upholds regulatory and corporate standards. Base Pay Range Annual: $128,310 - $188,370. Bi‑weekly: $5,565.00 - $6,119.40. Responsibilities Engage patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve patient complaints and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience. Model and share best customer‑service practices to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience, incorporating Walgreens service traits. Monitor team members’ customer service and provide reminders, training, and encouragement. Develop plans for improvement. Connect with patients by anticipating needs and proactively offering services, enhancing experience through patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and clinical services. Participate in events that reflect the unique communities served, as requested by the Healthcare Supervisor or District Manager. Supervise pharmacy operations, including opening/closing, shift changes, task delegation, and scheduling. Execute District Manager operational feedback. Supervise financial controls, such as register counts, withdrawals, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders, and bookkeeping. Supervise merchandising, set displays and promotional space, and counsel patients on medication usage and safety. Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management. Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with workload. Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulations, state, and federal controlled‑substance laws, and Good Faith Dispensing policy. Analyze inventory trends, manage ordering, stock levels, and leverage company resources to reduce stockouts and overstock. Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy systems technology and support patients and staff accordingly. Process insurance claims, resolve patient issues, conduct audits, and collaborate with providers on medication review. Provide clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, diagnostics, disease management, and other healthcare services. Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, repairs, maintenance, and emergency response readiness. Prepare, maintain, and submit required records and reports in compliance with state and federal laws. Manage team performance: assign responsibilities, set goals, observe performance, give feedback and recognition, and monitor training completion. Make hiring, promotion, and termination decisions; discipline staff as needed; collaborate with Employee Relations and HR. Develop and implement employee performance plans; track progress and provide coaching. Maintain up‑to‑date licensing, credentialing, and certification required for clinical services. Basic Qualifications BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist licensure in all states of employment. Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire. Minimum one year of pharmacy experience in a retail setting covering prescription dispensing, quality assurance, pharmacy operations, technology systems, and insurance. Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal controlled‑substance laws in prescription dispensing. Preferred Qualifications Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing pharmacy staff operations. Leadership rating of 3.7 or above on the latest performance review (internal candidates only). At least 6 months of pharmacy experience with Walgreens Co.
