Summary:

Huntington Bank's Capital Markets Managing Director, Sponsor Coverage, is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with private equity sponsors to originate leverage finance and other investment banking opportunities. The role also involves coordinating with partners in Fund Finance and Capstone Partners to deliver fund-level banking capabilities and advisory products.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent coverage to key sponsor list to build and enhance relationships.
• Develop relationship strategies for targeted private equity clients and create detailed underwriting analyses to support credit approval processes.
• Deliver ideas and content in partnership with product areas including Industry Verticals, Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Fund Finance, and Capstone.
• Expertise in deal structuring.
• Mentor, train, and develop junior talent.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in sponsor finance, structured finance, or leveraged finance.
• FINRA Series 79 & 63 licenses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or equivalent in Finance or Accounting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to manage ambiguity.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in teams.
• High professional integrity and demeanor.
