Field Service Engineer - Beckhoff Automation

Location : Norcross, GA

*This is a direct hire role that is Salaried but you also will get Time and 1/2 for overtime. (Time in Transit goes towards hours in a week. For example: When you leave your house to go to the airport.)

We have a client in Norcross GA that has an immediate need for a Field Service Engineer, with a background working on Industrial Equipment and working with Beckhoff Automation technology.

You will be responsible for:

• 50% Travel to client sites, including North and Central America - When you are not traveling, you will be in the office in Norcross, GA.
• Installation, start-up, commissioning, wiring, machine set up and test of machinery purchased by customers
• Working with Beckhoff software to update, modify and edit existing PLC's.
• Technical assistance during and after warranty period on site or by phone / computer
• Training customer’s employees and other services on the equipment delivered to the customer. ·
• Customer demonstrations and sample / prototype part manufacturing.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the repair of industrial machinery and a superior working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLC and PC control repair.
• Experience working with Beckhoff
• 2 yr. degree or 4 yrs. military experience in mechanical/electrical field
• 3 or more yrs. industrial machinery troubleshooting experience and field service experience
• Travel in the range of 50% after training - Frequent weekday overnight travel is required, with most weekends at home.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; conversational Spanish would be an asset.

• You must possess excellent communication and PC skills, a clean driving record, valid driver's license, and be able to pass a drug test.
