Part Time Medical Front Desk Receptionist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join a mission-driven, diverse community health organization. You'll play a key role in greeting patients, managing calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting clinic operations across two busy San Jose locations.
Responsibilities: • Schedule, reschedule and/or cancel appointments.
• Answer all Call Center incoming calls, screen, or forward calls, provide information, take messages or schedule appointments.
• Check insurance and verify eligibility information.
• Greet persons entering the lobby, determine the nature and purpose of the visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
• Monitor calls on hold to prevent long wait times.
• Relay patient questions, requests, and other messages to the appropriate person/department.
• Collect, update, and verify all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information.
• Communicate regularly with the supervisor on the status of operations, patient access, medical records, insurance coverage updates and any other related issues.
• Resolve patient inquiries, complaints or concerns regarding their accounts or appointments.
• Collect payments from patients
Qualifications/Requirements: • 1–2 years of healthcare admin experience (scheduling/insurance verification)
• Epic experience required (NextGen may be considered)
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a culturally diverse setting
• Must be reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Livescan background check required
Details :
Pay : $20-$25/hr (Depending on experience)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 10am - 2pm
Employment Type : Full time, Temp To Hire
Onsite Role : Will float between two locations in San Jose, CA (schedule pre-planned)
