Commercial Plumber
A large public institution is seeking a skilled Commercial Plumber to join its facilities team. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across a diverse, multi-building campus environment. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with large-scale plumbing infrastructure, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and steam-related systems
Respond to service requests and emergency calls in a timely and professional manner
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently
Inspect, test, and diagnose plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans
Work collaboratively with maintenance staff, contractors, and other trades
Adhere to safety codes, regulations, and institutional procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 4 years of commercial or institutional plumbing experience
Current state-issued plumbing license
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with steam systems or large-scale utility infrastructure
Familiarity with campus or institutional plumbing systems
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
