Social Media Intern Mission

The Social Media Intern supports HydraPak’s digital presence by helping bring our brand to life across social platforms, with a primary focus on launching and establishing our TikTok channel. This role blends research, creativity, and execution—contributing to content planning, publishing, community engagement, and basic performance insights—while ensuring our voice remains authentic, athlete-focused, and aligned with HydraPak’s values. Through thoughtful content and daily channel support, the intern helps expand brand awareness, engage our community, and support the marketing team’s broader goals.

Primary And Additional Tasks And Responsibilities

TikTok - Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities

Objective: Support the setup and launch of HydraPak’s TikTok presence, including research, account setup, content planning, and readiness for TikTok Shop.

Platform Research & Benchmarking

  • Analyze top run/outdoor/bike/nutrition brand TikTok accounts. SMM to provide list of brands to consider.
  • Identify best-performing formats, hooks, and content styles.
  • Summarize findings in a brief recommendations deck.
  • Suggest timeline for launch including ongoing content creation.

TikTok Account + TikTok One Setup

  • Create and optimize the HydraPak TikTok Business account.
  • Set up TikTok One for brand management and future commerce capabilities.
  • Prepare the account for eventual TikTok Shop activation.

Content Framework + Starter Calendar

  • Define TikTok content pillars and initial posting approach.
  • Build a Q2 content calendar targeting 2 posts/week.
  • Gather references, trends, and creator examples for creative support.
  • Engage creative team on content creation

Posting Workflow & Basic Reporting

  • Set up the posting workflow (native or scheduling tool).
  • Schedule initial content .
  • Create a lightweight reporting template for core KPIs (views, engagement, follower growth).

Other Social Media Accounts - Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities

Social Media Publishing & Scheduling

  • Manage daily publishing across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for HydraPak and Bottle Bright.
  • Maintain a consistent posting cadence aligned with the brand voice and marketing priorities.
  • Schedule all posts in the approved social management platform (Sprout, direct platform.)

Community Management

  • Monitor all active social channels daily.
  • Respond to comments, messages, mentions, and tags in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
  • Monitor brand tags and mentions for engagement or reshare opportunities
  • Identify engagement opportunities (UGC, athlete posts, event highlights) and escalate anything requiring supervisory support.

Basic Reporting & Insights

  • Track monthly metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, top-performing posts).
  • Provide a simple summary to the marketing team to aid in optimization.
  • Flag trends, opportunities, or content gaps as they arise.

Experience And Qualifications

Education & Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in progress in marketing, business, or related field

Salary & Benefits

This position is based in our Longmont, CO office. This is a part-time internship with an expected 20 hour per week workload. The duration of this position is expected to be six months in length. Pay for this position is $20 per hour.
