Tax Partner, Counsel, or Associate Opportunity with Chambers-Recognized Firm (Renewable Energy or M&A Focus)

We are partnering with one of the nation's top law firms, recognized by Chambers Global and Chambers USA for its expertise in Projects: Renewables & Alternative Energy . Our client is seeking a Tax Partner, Counsel, or Senior Associate with a focus on Renewable Energy Financing or Mergers & Acquisitions to join its prestigious team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on federal income tax matters, including corporate taxation, taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, and debt/equity offerings.
• Lead transactional work involving partnership, S corporation, and LLC transactions.
• Counsel on renewable energy financing transactions, particularly those involving federal production and investment tax credits.
• Navigate complex tax structuring for large-scale projects in the energy sector, optimizing financial and regulatory outcomes.
• Represent clients in IRS audits, administrative appeals, and litigation before the U.S. Tax Court and federal courts.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in federal income tax law with a specialization in Renewable Energy or M&A.
• Expertise in partnership and corporate taxation, tax controversy, and choice-of-entity planning.
• Strong client advisory skills and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
• For Partner-level candidates , a portable book of business is welcome but not required . The firm is busy enough to support candidates without a book.
• Counsel and Senior Associate candidates are also welcome to apply, depending on experience.
