Job Opportunity: Welder Helper

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and operation of welding equipment under the guidance of experienced welders.
• Support the welding process by preparing materials, handling tools, and maintaining equipment.
• Read and understand job specifications, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
• Perform tasks such as grinding, cutting, and preparing surfaces for welding.
• Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• GED or high school diploma required; additional technical training in welding is preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and familiarity with welding equipment.
• Ability to perform measurements and adjustments with tools such as weld gages, tape measures, and protractors.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
• Must pass a basic welding and safety knowledge test.

Additional Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as project demands dictate.
